What is Netlet? - Netlet is a website which enables Higher Education Institutions to centralise details of all the private sector accommodation available for their students and make this directly available to them in the form of an attractive and up to the minute website. The Website and its associated services will add value to any Accommodation Office Service.

What is the aim of the Netlet Service?

• To enable students and prospective students to quickly and efficiently find accommodation

How does it work? - The site allows students to search for the accommodation they want by price, amenity level, location or any mixture of these. It allows them to create a 'shopping basket' of their needs so that they can compare and contrast the accommodation available and it allows them to keep that list as they contact the property owners to arrange viewings.

What other services does Netlet offer? – The site has a Student to Student Noticeboard. This allows students to communicate with other students with similar backgrounds and requirements e.g. ethnic groupings, language requirements, getting together in groups, short lets, students wanting to leave and those wanting to find replacements flat mates. Student involvement with this section is particularly high all year round.

Netlet also has an advice section, popular with both parents and students. This section offers comprehensive up to date housing advice and support resources, compiled and maintained for Netlet by Unipol Student Homes. Students can learn about market conditions in their area, get advice on how to find the right property quickly and easily, acquire information on deposits and contracts, obtain a full listing of other agencies offering housing advice and support and find out how to deal with disrepair.
